Hampden Heights Swim Team - Stroke Judge and Starter Trainings
Hello Hurricanes,
We are just under three weeks away from starting practice and a little over a month away from our first swim meet in over a year!!!! Wow! As always, we are in dire need of certified stroke judges for the 2021 summer swim season. We need several volunteer stroke judge for every home and away meet. If you are a returning stroke judge, we thank you so much! If you are considering becoming certified, PLEASE DO! We are ALWAYS in need of more stroke judges, and it's a great way to be involved with the team and learn more about swimming! We could also use additional people to get trained as Starters so that we have more people who are able to do this vital role!
This season we will be utilizing a different on-deck platform to run meets called Swimmingly. In light of this new system, several Clinics are scheduled between now and the beginning of the season! Please take a look at the list below. Due to the changes in technology this year every stroke judge, starter and ref (new and returning) needs to attend one or more of the trainings.
- Tuesday, May 11 @ 7 pm - Virtual Meet Manager Training
- Thursday, May 13 @ 7 pm - Virtual Training for returning Stroke Judges
- Saturday, May 15 @ 10 am - Live Training for new and returning Stroke Judges at Hunters Hill Pool
- Thursday, May 20 @ 7 pm - Virtual Training for Starter Referees
- Saturday, May 22 @ 1 pm - Live Training Mock Meet for any Meet Managers, Parent Reps, Coaches, Stroke Judges, Starters or Refs at Hunters Hill Pool
I am waiting on additional information about how to access the online trainings but I wanted you to have the dates as soon as possible so that you can get them on your family calendar - I know how busy May can be!! Please reply to this email if you plan to attend a training so I can get you that information!!
