Meet 4 is in the books and it was a great one!  Our Hurricanes won this one by 100 points and 94 races dropped time (got faster compared to past meets)!  Great job to our swimmers and coaches on showing improvement week to week and always giving your all!  Complete results are attached to this email.  Keep reading for important info on the rest of our season!!

1. July 8th HOME Meet

We do not have a meet this Saturday, July 1st.  Sleep in!  Our final dual meet is a HOME meet on Saturday, July 8th. Please have your swimmer declaration/RSVP in Swimtopia by noon on Wednesday, July 5th.  We will still have practice this week and next with the exception of NO PRACTICE on July 4th.

2. 4th of July BINGO

The 4th of July Party at the pool is our biggest team fundraiser. We run the Bingo tent and need lots of prize donations! Please consider donating prizes - you can bring them to the guard shack during practice.  You can also make a cash donation to our Venmo @HHSTSWIM with 4th of July or Bingo in the notes and we will use that money to buy additional prizes. We have several volunteer slots that need to be filled working our Bingo Tent on the 4th of July. Sign up in Swimtopia if you are interested (this can count toward your required 3 jobs for the season!!)

3.  Prelim/Final Meets:

Please ask coaches if you have questions about your swimmer participating in the Prelims meet!  Anyone who has done 2 meets can participate in this League-wide meet!  The deadline to declare your swimmer for the Prelim meets has been extended to noon on Wednesday, July 5th - please mark your swimmer on the Swimtopia site as attending or not before this deadline. If nothing is entered, it is assumed that your swimmer is not participating that they will not be placed in any events.  If the July 8th meet will be your 2nd meet, please email [email protected] so I can open up the declarations for you on the 8th as you won't have access to do it until that 2nd meet is complete.  Prelims and Finals volunteer spots are also open!!  If your swimmer is doing Prelims, it is required that you do a Prelim or Final volunteer spot!

4.  Note from coaches - For practice and meets, it is best for swimmers to have tight fitting swim suits rather than swim trunks. Baggie trunks create a log of weight and drag that make it difficult to work on proper technique. Jammers or "speedo-style" suits are accepable and can be found at Big 5 or Dick's Sporting Goods.  This is especially important for Prelims/Finals participants.
