Hope you all had a relaxing Saturday off!!  We are coming up on the end of the season and this email has info on our remaining events.  Please read all the way to the end!

1. Practices for week of July 3 and July 10 - Reminder that there is no practice on Tuesday, July 4th but there will be practice every other day that week.  The week of July 10th will be Prelim week.  Practices that week will be only for swimmers participating in Prelims and then only if they qualify for Finals.  

• Monday, July 10 - ages 9-12 - 7:00-8:00 a.m. and 8& Under - 8:00-8:45 a.m. 
• Tuesday, July 11 - ages 9-12 and Finals qualifying 13-18 - 7-8 a.m.
• Wednesday, July 12 - ages 11-12 and Finals qualifying 8U/13-18 - 7-8 a.m.
• Thursday, July 13 - Finals qualifying 8U, 9-10, and 13-18 - 7-8 a.m.
• Firday, July 14 - any Finals qualiying swimmer - 8-9 a.m.

2. July 8th Home Meet - Our final dual meet is a HOME meet again Bow Mar South on Saturday, July 8th.  Please have your swimmer declaration/RSVP in Swimtopia by noon this Wednesday, July 5th. Reminder - if nothing is entered, it will be assumed that they are NOT participating and they will not be entered into any events.  Volunteer shifts for Saturday, July 8th are attached.

3. Prelims - Your swimmer's Prelim participation must be entered in Swimtopia by July 5th at noon - please mark your swimmer as attending or not before this deadline. If you do not mark your swimmer in Swimtopia as participating in Prelims, coaches will not be placed into any events.  Any swimmer who has participated in at least 2 regular season meets is "qualified" to participate in Prelims, but participation in Prelims is entirely optional.  If July 8th will be their 2nd meet and you want to do Prelims, please email me so that we can quickly add them after the meet on the 8th!!  The same rules of 2 relays and 3 individual events per swimmer apply. The swimmers will be seeded in their event based on the fastest overall time from this season. The top 8 finishers are invited to swim the Championship Heat in Finals on Saturday, July 15th. Finishers 9-16 are invited to swim the Consolation Heat. Finishers 17-20 are invited to attend Finals just in case anyone scratches for their event and they are able to swim.

Prelims are usually meets that last all day. They are LONG days, but are so very fun! I highly recommend attending because the kids always have a really great time. If you are not able to stay all day, it is possible to work with other families to carpool and split kid coverage - ask around or let me know if you have a specific need!

4.  End of Season Banquet - We are tentatively planning to celebrate our season on Sunday, August 8th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. (pending final approval from the HHCA Board) with pizza and awards.  The team will provide pizza, please bring an item based on the recommendation below - remember, no glass at the pool!!  To help us with pizza ordering, please RSVP here!!
