Congratulations on a successful 2nd meet of 2024 swim season. We were so close to finishing every event on Saturday, but the storm blew in pretty quickly at the end. Despite that minor setback, we had a great deal of success including many swimmer best times. Thank you to all the swimmers, parents, and volunteers that pitched in at the meet to make it a positive, fun experience. We have three more meets to continue the summer fun.

The June 15th meet is again an AWAY MEET at Ben Franklin. REMINDER: You must go onto our website to declare your swimmer as participating or not participating in this meet by noon on Wednesday, June 12th. If nothing is entered, it will be assumed that your swimmer is NOT participating and they will not be entered into any events. See below for step by step directions on how to enter meet declarations. 

1. Go to the team website - hampdenheights.swimtopia.com, click on the Meet and then "Meet Entry". Click on the yellow "Edit" button and mark each swimmer "Attending" or "Not attending".

2. Once you select "Attending", you will see the events for which your swimmer is eligible. You CAN select up to 3 events - this is an opportunity to make a request if there is a specific race(s) that you want your swimmer to do, however coaches have the final say in which events each swimmer does. If you do not know or care which races your swimmer should do, you can leave this screen blank and coaches will select the appropriate events. Don't forget to hit save at the bottom.

3. You will see a dropdown menu about relays. There are relays at the beginning and end of the meet. You have the ability to let coaches know if your swimmer is or is not available for both the early and late relays. Remember - swim meets are long and those late relays will not happen until at least 11:30-12:30. Please opt out if you cannot commit to staying until the end.

4. Click save and you are all set! THIS MUST BE COMPLETE BY NOON ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12th. Undeclared swimmers will not be placed into any events for the June 15th meet.

LOCATION AND PARKING - This is an away meet at Ben Franklin: 1600 E Panama Dr, Centennial, CO 80122. Please plan to arrive by 7:05 a.m. prior to our 7:15 warm-up. Parking in the lot is limited, but there is street parking available. Be aware of driveways! When you arrive, look for our team tent in the designated space outside the pool entrance.

HOST TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS- There will be plenty of breakfast and lunch fare. Cash & credit cards accepted. No sharpie on the backs or bodies of swimmers (i.e. NO EAT MY BUBBLES ON BACKS) other than the small event "mark-up" on their hand or arm. The markers will stain the heating chairs. Also, no pets on the pool deck for any reason. Thanks!

6:30 am: Pool opens

6:45 am: Ben Franklin warmups (6:45 - 7:15 am)

7:05 am:  HHST warmups (7:15 - 7:45 am)

7:30 am: Stroke Judge and Starter/Ref meeting at starter/ref post near the starting blocks (all stroke judges for the day must attend)

7:40 am: Timer meeting with starter/ref at starter/ref post near the starting blocks (all timers must attend for the day)

7:50 am: Start heating through Event 12

7:55 am: National Anthem

8:00 am: First event begins!

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS - We are in need of two stroke judges, one timer, and one on call volunteer for this meet.You can sign up on the website by navigating to Events, clicking on the meets, and then Job Sign Up. ALL Timers and Stroke Judges must attend a brief meeting with the Starter prior to the start of the meet which will begin at approximately 7:30 a.m.

THEME- Tropical Vacay. Think Hawaiian shirts, skirts, or dresses. The more flowers and leis the better. If this theme is not for you, sporting our HHST colors is always encouraged, too.
