Hi Hurricanes,

Sorry we have to do this again, but all of my senior coaches have school or activity commitments today.  I know everyone is excited for the season, but hopefully everyone understands this as growing pains in exchange for being able to start the season a week early. We coaches have also been learning this week too.  A couple of our junior coaches got some valuable experience helping out and we are looking into some ideas for how we could have practice for some of our 8 and under swimmers in the future when we only have 1 or 2 coaches.  

Things you can help your swimmer and us coaches with at home are reinforcing remembering what lane they were in (coaches aren't always in the same lane), emphasizing that during practice we should keep our heads above water so we can hear what the coaches are saying, and to just keep trying their best and not be discouraged.  Swimming is a hard skill to learn so we want every kid to give themselves some grace.

Practices are still happening today for 9-10yo at 5:15-6pm, 11-12yo at 6-6:45pm and 13-18yo at 6:45-7:30.
