Hi Hurricanes,

Unfortunately we'll need to cancel all practices again today due to the weather. I’m hoping tomorrow will be better on the temperature side and hopefully the storms will stay away. Tomorrow will probably be a game time decision since it’ll be overall warmer and more dependent on whether or not it’s windy or storming at practice time. That said, I would check your email before you leave for practice just in case it’s canceled last minute.

It’s also very likely that for the 6u and 7-8yo age groups, we may ask for only those swimmers in lanes 1-2 who can consistently and safely swim full 25m lengths to come to practice. Our experience in cold temperatures with swimmers who are not as strong yet is that we can’t keep them moving consistently enough for them to stay warm and it ends up being a very poor experience for them. But let’s hope the sun comes out and it doesn’t come to that!
